See photo of teens who suffer horrific attack in midnight
Danny Beardmore suffered a fractured cheekbone, eye
socket and a broken nose after he became involved in an argument. The
19-year-old was out with his girlfriend when he became involved in an
altercation with some men and was assaulted close to the Cross Axes
pub, in Great Harwood.
His mother Louise Beardmore 38, said “They had a bit of an altercation with some people and it made it’s way round to the centre of Harwood. They came home about 3.30am and they were both in shock. I looked at him and knew straight away I had to phone the ambulance and police. It was horrible. It was like he had been shot in the face. He is a young lad and said he had a bit to drink but he didn’t really know how bad his injuries were.
"He had his head over the sink and he was bleeding everywhere. He doesn’t remember getting hit more than once but he must have been, looking at the injuries. He doesn’t know if he was knocked out for a few seconds. He’s going to be off work for at least a month.”
Louise said they have been overwhelmed by the response on social media after pictures of Danny’s injuries were posted.
The offender is described as white male, around 22 years old and 6ft tall with ‘longish ginger hair and a ginger beard’.

become proud parents of a boy weighing in at a staggering 5.970kg (13.16
pounds).
The big baby has been confirmed as the heaviest baby born in India to date.
The unnamed baby was born via caesarean section at a government hospital in Sri Ganganagar area of Rajasthan in western India on Wednesday afternoon.
Dr Anamika Aggarwal, who was one of the four doctors who delivered the child, called him a 'miracle baby'.
Goga Bai is diabetic and weighs 100kg (220 pounds).Doctors believe the mother's own weight issues led to the child's obesity.
The biggest baby born in India before this new-born was a girl from Imphal, Manipur who weighed 5.9 kgs. Clearly, Goga Bai's son has smashed the record.

She said:"I have never delivered any new-born this big. He was definitely a surprise for us. He is not only the biggest baby ever born at the hospital but in the whole country.
"His mother tried to give him a normal birth but the baby was too big to come out naturally and got stuck so we had to perform the C-section with utmost care.
"Both the mother and the child are in sound health. Initially he had respiratory trouble but now he is doing absolutely fine and is healthy."
"The mother is a diabetic patient. In cases where the mother is diabetic, her child develops the risk of obesity."Though no congenital anomaly has been detected in the child, we are keeping both him and his mother under observation and would discharge them after a week."

Father sexually assaults his 4 year old daughter, she becomes dumb
Four-year-old child has lost her voice following several sexual assaults
on her by her 37-year-old father, identified as Ademola.
Her mother explained to Saturday PUNCH how her husband of 14 years had been molesting their daughter.
Blessed with four children; three girls, including a set of twins, and a boy, things became took a dark turn when she caught her husband sexually assaulting their 2nd child.
The unfortunate incident seems to be tearing the family further apart as she has not only moved out of the house; she has vowed never to return, whilst accusing her husband of being diabolical.
Her seven-year-old son, identified simply as Seun, told Punch correspondent that he had seen his father on top of his sister on several occasions , stating that he had caught him twice in the act of putting his hand “under” his sister. He explained that his father used to rub his hands all over Rebecca’s body but he barely knew what he was up to.
Disturbed by the incident, Folake said she reported the assault at the Igando Police Station and to the Executive Director, Esther Child Rights Foundation, Mrs. Esther Ogwu, who had helped to monitor the case with the police. Folake added that some of the policemen at the station laughed at her when they heard about the case.
Ogwu told Saturday PUNCH that it would be in the interest of all if justice was done on the matter, saying she would follow the matter to its conclusion.
Even though a test conducted on the girl at the Mirabel Sexual Assault Referral Centre at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos, confirmed that the girl had been assaulted and her hymen broken, Folake noted that to her dismay, Ademola has been released on bail by the police, and that the police in Igando have been reluctant in taking the case to court.
Folake said that her worry was that the man who had done both spiritual and psychological damage to her little daughter should was about to go scot free.
The Divisional Police Officer, Igando Police Station, Mr. Segun Fagbohun, said that he has transferred Ademola and the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department at Yaba for further investigations.

She began, “It started in 2013 when I suddenly woke up one night and saw my husband removing the panties of my daughter. It was in the midnight. I wanted to shout but I wanted to see what he was up to. So, I pretended as if I didn’t see him because the room was relatively dark. She said she would have left the home that night but she said she had to stay because she was already pregnant for him at the time.
“When he pulled down her pant, he looked around and when he felt convinced that everyone was deep asleep, he stood up and moved to where the girl was and dipped his hand in her private part. I screamed.
“To say I was shocked was to say the least. He was shocked too because he didn’t know anyone was watching, so he quickly stood up, pulled up his trousers and started beating me.”
She continued, “He beat me that night such that blood came out of my body. I didn’t even know I was pregnant until that night and the pregnancy was about two months old. I ran away from him for some time and I told my relatives. But I had to go back because of the pregnancy and that was when I had a set of twins for him.”She said she had thought he had changed and would never do such a despicable act again, but unknown to her, other things had been going on without her knowledge. She said the straw that broke the camel’s back happened on July 17, 2015 when she caught him molesting her daughter again the same way he did before.
With her eyes soaked in tears, she said, “I thought he had stopped until the night of July 17, 2015 around 1am. It was a Friday. Rebecca was sleeping beside me but I saw him stand up, he carried the girl to the other side of the bed. He didn’t know I was awake. I had wanted to shout but I wanted to know what he was up to again. So, he removed his trousers, turned his back at me and crawled to where Rebecca was lying.
“He didn’t know I was looking at him. He pulled down her panties and started inserting his finger in her private part again. I thought I was dreaming. I screamed and continued shouting. He was shocked and couldn’t talk. He was just looking. Then, he went back to sleep.
“The following morning, I challenged him why he was doing that to his own child. I know he is diabolical, so I told him if his plan was to use my daughter for anything evil, he would not prosper. That was what got him angry and he started beating me. He said he would kill me. Then, my other children started crying and shouting, and he didn’t stop until one of our neighbours intervened.
“The following day, I went to the church to report to the shepherd of the church he was attending, Celestial Church of Christ, somewhere around Ikotun in Alimosho Local Government. The shepherd was shocked too but he pleaded with me to exercise patience. Because of the fear of what he could do to us, we left the house and moved to the church and we kept sleeping there.”Folake explained that her estranged husband, who is a motor mechanic in Ikotun area, came to the church, beat her and forcefully took away their 17-month-old twins, whom she was still breastfeeding, noting that the two girls had been in his custody since then.
Her seven-year-old son, identified simply as Seun, told Punch correspondent that he had seen his father on top of his sister on several occasions , stating that he had caught him twice in the act of putting his hand “under” his sister. Folake added that some of the policemen at the station laughed at her when they heard about the case.
Ogwu told Saturday PUNCH that it would be in the interest of all if justice was done on the matter, saying she would follow the matter to its conclusion.
She added, “We have involved the National Human Rights Commission, Office of the Public Defender and the Lagos State Ministry of Justice in the case so as to ensure justice. It is increasingly becoming important for parents to pay due attention to their children to guard them against assault.”
“This girl’s private part has almost become rotten and as young as she is, her breast is already coming out, and she limps occasionally. I can never entrust my children into his hands and that is why I’m worried about the twins that are with him. They are also girls. I don’t want him to molest them too.“He had afflicted us with charm but we have been set free. The two children in school have been very retarded, coupled with the fact that Rebecca has not been talking until she did twice just two months ago. And since then, she has stopped again. She just doesn’t talk and she urinates frequently. She should be in Nursery One now but she seems not to be coping. Even her teachers are complaining she had become a recluse and she keeps urinating all the time.”
When Ademola was contacted over the allegations levelled against him by his wife and son, he said:
“She is lying against me. I didn’t do any of those things they were saying. She has been looking for ways to move out of the house because she has seen someone else she wants to marry and that was why she left the house.”
The Divisional Police Officer, Igando Police Station, Mr. Segun Fagbohun, said that he has transferred Ademola and the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department at Yaba for further investigations.
£25m worth of drugs found in freezer after tyre fitting firm police raid
Police have arrested five people after the discovery of drugs with an
estimated street value of about £25 million - most of it at a flat.
The drugs, believed to be mephadrone and amphetamine, were found within a ground floor flat in Liverpool yesterday.
Detectives from ‘Titan’, the north-west’s regional organised crime unit, had gone to the flat after a discovery of drugs earlier in the day at a tyre fitting centre in Huyton.
Merseyside Police patrols had followed a Ford Fiesta car and its occupant left the vehicle and went into a tyre fitting yard on an industrial unit.
Officers detained three men inside and recovered a quantity of suspected drugs, reports the Liverpool Echo .
Another man was arrested close by and a fifth man was later arrested in the Kirkdale area. Further suspected drugs were found in the Ford Fiesta.
Some of the suspected drugs were also hidden within a tyre that was in the process of being refitted to a wheel rim.
Officers have seized from those premises drugs , believed to be 8kg (24,000 tablets) of ecstasy, 4kg of amphetamines and an estimated 1kg of cocaine.
Later enquiries led Titan detectives to the flat in Garston where an estimated 150kg of what is believed to be amphetamines and mephadrone were found.
All five people have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs and are being held at police stations across the North-west. The drugs have been seized by the police for further examinations.
The five people arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs are A 44-year-old man from Vauxhall, a 36-year-old man from Huyton , a 30-year-old man from Huyton, a 28-year-old man from Huyton and a 22-year-old man from Huyton.

Our economy is ill and is rapidly getting worse- Etcetera
Etcetera write below..
Our economy is ill and is rapidly getting worse. God handed us the resources to be one of the greatest economic machines in the world and we have wrecked it. But until we are willing to look in the mirror and admit how bad things have got, we won’t be ready for the solutions that are necessary. The truth is that there are things that we can do to reverse the decline. It does not have to be permanent. We have got away from the things that made Nigeria great, and we need to admit that we are on the wrong path and start fixing this country.
Is Nigeria getting worse? That is a very provocative question. I have found that most people that hate Nigeria are very eager to agree that Nigeria is getting worse, while a lot of those that love Nigeria are very hesitant to admit that Nigeria is in decline. Well, I am proud to be a Nigerian, but I cannot lie to myself or tell you that Nigeria is doing just fine. The evidence is undeniable.
But if we choose to continue down the road that we are currently on, it
will lead us into the darkest chapters in Nigerian history.
If someone had written a story about what is happening now in Nigeria 20
years ago, people would have laughed and said “Wow that is a good
story, but it would never happen here, not in our Nigeria.” But now, the
joke is on all of us. Nigeria has turned into one big comedy club where
the audience is wearing a frown as they listen to the president
cracking his “Change” joke. The president speaks of change from the same
mouth that he nominates those purported to be ministerial nominees. He
should tell us what change he expects from the list. How do you achieve
this change doing the same old things with the same old people? Some
governors on the list are still entangled in corruption allegations
levelled against them by their successors. What happened to your zero
tolerance to corruption mantra? This whole change thing is becoming a
gargantuan joke that is not funny at all.
A devastating economic collapse has left the country in a stagnant
decline, where Nigerians are still sleeping under bridges, ghettos like
Ajegunle are overfilled, while almost all houses in Victoria Island and
ikoyi lie vacant with ‘for sale’ banners hanging on almost every gate,
the kleptocratic politicians openly steal billions of dollars, and
remain free, while people charged with petty thefts go to jail and have
no bonds, protests break out and are quickly stifled by an authoritarian
police force, media houses are getting shut down and becoming
government controlled and relay repeating news stories that have little
to do with real events, and are more focused on propaganda and nonsense,
a politician takes several multimillion dollar vacations at taxpayer
expense, while ordinary Nigerian families cannot afford the skyrocketing
food costs, the senate is hopelessly unable to pass any kind of
legislation that can benefit average Nigerians, but easily pass
legislation benefitting themselves and usurping the constitution,
prisons are built and manned waiting for those who dare to speak the
truth against to power, the roads in estates built by politicians and
their rich cronies are tarred over and over while the areas occupied by
the poor masses are left in ruins, terrorists are granted amnesty and
pacified with fat monthly allowances while law abiding citizens are
gnashing their teeth.
Whew! Did I miss anything? What about a hero? Maybe a small glimmer of
hope. Maybe Buhari? hopefully. I would like the next paragraph of this
article to read, “At Nigeria’s darkest hour, the people defied the odds,
and ignored the experts and elected a man of character and convictions
to the office of the Presidency, and the said man restored the
constitution, defeated boko haram, brought back the missing Chibok
girls, brought justice to the people by arresting the evil men and women
responsible for years of death and debt upon this nation.” Now I like
that ending. Will it happen? I hope to God it can be so.
If I told a story 30 years ago that Nigeria will be worse off at 55, would you have believed me?
Nurse breastfeeds infant during surgery to calm her down
A nurse has gone above and beyond her duty when she breast-fed a
one-month-old patient during a surgery this week in Guangdong, southern
China.
The baby girl, named as Wei Wei, was in the middle of a surgery on
September 29 when she started crying and wouldn't stop,
reported People's Daily Online.
Li Baoxia, who was still lactating, decided to step in and breastfeed the infant patient, who then calmed down so the surgery could continue.
Surgery continued successfully while the nurse breastfed Wei Wei.
According to reports, the baby was undergoing a surgery for an anal abscess when she started crying and couldn't stop.
Due to the baby's age and size, only local anaesthesia was used, which meant the baby could still move.
Li Baoxia had just finished a surgery in a neighbouring operating theatre when she heard about the baby's condition from a colleague.
Without hesitation, the nurse stepped in and breastfed the baby to calm her down.
She then continued to breastfeed and hold the baby while the surgery continued.
The heart-warming scene was captured by a member of the medical staff and shared online.
After the successful surgery, Wei Wei's father was extremely grateful towards the doctor.
He held her hand as he said: 'Thank you! You not only cured my child but also breastfed her. As a father, I cannot thank you enough.'
The father then exclaimed, 'You're an angel nurse.'
That sentiment was echoed by many Chinese web users since the photograph emerged on social media such as Weibo, China's equivalent of Twitter.
However, many also questioned whether the nurse had the right to breastfeed someone else's baby.
It is not clear where the baby's mother was or whether the nurse had permission from the family before she stepped in to help.
The surgery was successful and the baby is recovering well.
